New Small Group Quoting and Enrollment Tool

We’re excited to announce our online quoting and enrollment tool for new fully insured small group and small groups renewing on ACA plans. This new user-friendly platform will better serve those shopping for and renewing on our plans.

Starting with ACA renewing groups with a November 1, 2017 effective date, you will receive an email from Health Alliance. Use the link in this email to access the renewal, or visit HealthAlliance.org/Groups, choose the Small Group Plans page, and use the “New to Health Alliance? Get a Quote & Enroll Online” button at the top of the page. You can also access the tool through Your Health Alliance for brokers.

Transition renewals will not be sent from the quoting and enrollment tool. Your client consultant will email them to you.

If you take no action, the group will auto-renew on October 12, 20 days before the effective date.

You can renew ACA groups in 4 ways:

1. As is, with no changes to eligibility, enrollment, or plans
2. With changes to eligibility or enrollment
3. With plan changes or enrollment changes
4. Take no action to auto-renew

When to Expect Small Group Renewals

Small Group Renewals for October

Transition and ACA renewal portfolios for fully insured small groups with an October 1 effective date were emailed out on August 1. You should have them now.

Small Group Renewals for November

For ACA renewals, you will receive an email from Health Alliance on September 1. Use the link in this email to access the renewal.

On August 9, we will begin emailing transition renewal portfolios for fully insured small groups with a November 1 effective date. You should receive them within 3 to 4 business days.

Small Group Renewals for December

For ACA renewals, you will receive an email from Health Alliance on October 1. Use the link in this email to access the renewal.

On August 10, we will begin emailing transition renewal portfolios for fully insured small groups with a December 1 effective date. You should receive them within 3 to 4 business days.

Small Group Renewals for January 2018

Once we receive Illinois and Iowa Department of Insurance approval, we will begin emailing ACA renewal portfolios for fully insured small groups with a January 1 effective date. We’ll update you when we have more information.

On August 14, we will begin emailing transitional renewal portfolios for fully insured small groups with a January 1 effective date. You should receive them within 10 business days.
