Small Group Renewals for August and September
On May 8, we will begin emailing renewal rates for fully insured small groups with an August 1 or September 1 effective date. You should receive them within 3 to 4 business days.
Federal Market Stabilization Rule
On April 13, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services released the final Market Stabilization rule for the individual and small group markets under the Affordable Care Act. The final rule goes into effect on June 19, 2017 and adopts standards for:
- Special Enrollment Periods
- Individual market Annual Open Enrollment Period dates for the 2018 plan year
- Actuarial value requirements
- Network adequacy and essential community provider requirements for Qualified Health Plan certifications
We are in the process of reviewing the final rules for implementation and will communicate with stakeholders along the way.
