FFM Registration Completion Certificates Required

We require all brokers who intend to do business on the Individual or SHOP marketplaces to send us a copy of their Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FFM) Registration Completion Certificates. We are only allowed to pay commission on plans sold through the marketplace by FFM-certified brokers. If we do not have your certificate on file, we will not be able to pay commission on any public exchange plans sold.

Send your 2016 Registration Completion Certificates in PDF format to BrokerServices@healthalliance.org. You do not need to send transcripts or each training confirmation page. We only need the certificate that says your registration for plan year 2016 has been completed.

If you have any questions, contact your client consultant.

Want to Make Some Extra Cash?

We’re excited for the 2016 Medicare Advantage Annual Enrollment Period (AEP), which runs from October 15 to December 7. Even if you don’t sell Medicare plans, you can still earn some extra cash during this time.

We will pay you a $100 referral fee on any Medicare Advantage member who enrolls with us if you refer him or her. This is a great way to earn more money and help your clients find a quality Medicare plan. Just let a member of the marketing team (account executive, client consultant, or sales associate) know that you referred someone to us, and we’ll do the rest.

Keep an Eye on Your Mail

Brokers with Health Alliance Individual Plans clients will soon receive a renewal mailing with plan and rate information. The mailing includes a letter highlighting important reminders, a list of your clients’ 2015 and new 2016 plan as of September 2015, as well as directions for finding your clients’ 2016 premiums. Please review these materials carefully. If you have questions, contact your individual plans sales associate.

Rate notification mailings will reach transitional and ACA plan members around late October. Transitional plan members will get a letter telling them they have the option to keep their old plan and how much their premiums will increase.

Members with 2015 ACA plans will receive mailings containing a cover letter with their new plan information, a government notification letter, and a helpful Member Brochure.

The Member Brochure includes:

  • Key dates explaining when members must renew or make a plan change.
  • Details on our 2016 plan options.
  • Information about how to change plans (should a member find better-fitting plan than the one we’re moving them to).
  • Premium rate charts for 2016 direct plans. If direct rates are not available in time for the mailing, members will be directed to view 2016 rates online after November 1 or call Customer Service after November 15 to request a rate book.

We will post the Member Brochure on Your Health Alliance for brokers by November 1. We’ll also let you know as soon as 2016 Individual Plans sales materials are available for ordering.
