Correction to Illinois Small Group and Individual Plan Names

Although the following Illinois group and individual plans look to be HSA compatible (QHDHP in the plan name), they actually have first-dollar coverage and can’t be paired with an HSA. Their benefit summaries note the correct benefits, but the plan name is wrong.

We’re removing QHDHP from these 3 plan names and will post revised 1-page summaries on the Your Health Alliance for brokers and on HealthAlliance.org.

Which Exchange? Plan Name
Small Group & Individual Public and Private IL Guide HMO QHDHP 3150/6300 40% 6350/12700 $10/4080/200/300/50%
Small Group & Individual Private IL Pathfinder POS QHDHP 3150/6300 40% 6350/12700 $10/40/80/200/300/50%
Indivual Public and Private ILGuide HMO QHDHP 6350/127000% 6350/12700RxDed

Penalty Warning: Individual Guide HMO 6350/12700

If individuals over age 30 enroll in our IL Guide HMO 6350/12700 0% 6350/12700 RxDed* on the private exchange, they will see an individual mandate penalty, unless they qualify for a hardship exemption. The plan offers members a low premium, but it does not meet the minimum essential coverage requirement for individuals over 30.

*This is our catastrophic plan in the public marketplace.

Individual Public Marketplace Benefits Summaries and Rates Available

We’ve posted individual public marketplace 1-page summaries and SBCs at HealthAlliance.org for shoppers. Once our direct enrollment tool is live, shoppers will be able to complete the enrollment process, from start to finish, through our site. Until then, they’ll go through Healthcare.gov.

We’ve also posted individual public marketplace rates for Illinois and Nebraska. You can find these on Your Health Alliance for brokers, under Forms and Resources. Scroll to the Individual Plans Marketing section to find the Illinois Public 2014 Rate Book and the Nebraska Public 2014 Rate Book.

Remember, you can also find 1-page summaries for both the private and public exchanges on Your Health Alliance for brokers, under Forms and Resources. Scroll to the Individual Plans Marketing section to find the 2014 Benefit Summaries button.

Stay tuned for more on direct enrollment. We hope to have the tool available very soon.
