Correction to Short-Term Plans’ Summary of Benefits

We have found an inaccuracy in our short-term policies with effective dates of June 1, 2019, through July 22, 2019.

Health Alliance’s short-term plans do not cover mental health and substance abuse. The incorrect language in the Summary of Benefits during this time period stated that mental health and substance abuse is covered in-network at “deductible, 20%” and out-of-network at “deductible, 50%.”

For members who purchased short-term plans with effectives dates of June 1, 2019, through July 22, 2019, we will cover mental health and substance abuse services for the duration of their short-term plans at the coverage levels listed in their Summary of Benefits (in-network at “deductible, 20%” and out-of-network at “deductible, 50%.”).
