Health Alliance and FirstCarolinaCare Enter Partnership

Dennis Hesch, Health Alliance CEO, announced a new joint venture with FirstCarolinaCare Insurance Company (FCCI) in North Carolina. This partnership will further each organization’s ability to deliver high-quality healthcare coverage and customer service to patients and members.

In 2020, Carle will become FCCI’s majority owner, while FirstHealth of the Carolinas—a private, not-for-profit healthcare network—maintains minority ownership. The partnership between Health Alliance and FCCI centers on sharing best practices, health plan resources, care management solutions and identifying new ways to engage members in their health with a strong emphasis on wellness. The plan will operate under local leadership and maintain its own identity and brand.
