Health Alliance Offers SEP for COVID-19 Public Health Emergency to Individual Off-Exchange June 15 – August 15, 2021

Health Alliance™ is extending the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Special Enrollment Period (SEP) eligibility to off-exchange Individual plans beginning June 15, 2021 through August 15, 2021. Application submissions are to be completed and submitted through the Broker Portal upload tool on www.YourHealthAlliance.org without a selection of a qualifying event on the Attestation of Eligibility for an Enrollment Period form. Other SEP qualifying events are to be selected if they apply. Off-exchange applications submitted without the Attestation of Eligibility for an Enrollment Period form will be processed under the SEP for COVID-19 Public Health Emergency.

Coverage will be effective on the first of the month following plan selection. Applications not received by contracted Health Alliance brokers by the end of August 15, 2021 are ineligible. Individual Short-Term and Medicare Supplement plans are excluded from this SEP for COVID-19 Public Health Emergency.

The SEP for COVID-19 Public Health Emergency is still available on the Marketplace through August 15, 2021. Marketplace consumers have 30 days after receiving an eligibility determination from the Marketplace to select a plan, and coverage will be effective on the first of the month following plan selection.
