New 2018 Individual Medicare Supplement Program Available

We are excited to introduce a new individual Medicare Supplement program starting January 1, 2018. The new program features competitive premium rates, increased commission, and medical underwriting. The 2018 Medicare Supplement marketing materials for these plans are now available in the Forms & Resources section of Your Health Alliance for brokers.

The new program will:

• Offer individual Medicare Supplement plans A, C, F, G, and N in Illinois

• Offer competitive commission for new plans sold at 18% for the first 6 years if a person is new to our Medicare Supplement plans or 18% for the first 5 years if moving from another Health Alliance Medicare Supplement plan to one of the new plans

• Offer competitive monthly premiums
  • Plan F – 65-year-old – $147 (non-Chicago, non-tobacco user) 
  • Plan G – 65-year-old – $129 ( non-Chicago, non-tobacco user)

• Include separate rates for Chicago residents (tobacco and non-tobacco users) and non-Chicago residents (tobacco and non-tobacco users)

• Offer a 7% household discount for spouses and civil-union partners on the same policy and plan

• Be medically underwritten. Applicants who apply outside the Guaranteed Issue Period must fill out Section 4: Health Information and Section 5: Medication Information of the enrollment form

If a prospective member does have a Guaranteed-Issue (GI) right, write a brief description of the type and date of the GI right event on the top of their enrollment form.
