2017 Medicare Advantage Premiums for Low-Income Subsidies

The marketing materials you use to present our Medicare Advantage products reflect 2017 premium rates for prospects who will be paying 100% of the premium costs themselves.

Some Medicare beneficiaries qualify for Extra Help, a type of low-income subsidy (LIS) from Medicare to help pay for prescription drug plan (Part D) costs. Along with premium assistance, these members also benefit from drug coverage through the coverage gap and reduced Part D cost-sharing.

Premium rates are finalized and are reflected below. Please note, the premiums reflected are for individual policies. If the beneficiary is a member of an employer group Medicare policy, the rate might be different.

Category 4 (partial subsidy) premiums will vary.

Members who qualify for Extra Help will receive an LIS rider to outline their specific monthly premium either in their member materials or in a separate mailing.

For more information on Extra Help with Medicare Part D costs, go to the Social Security Administration’s website.
