Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates and Information

This afternoon, all our employer groups received the following email, which contained information and updates about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19):

“With an increasing number of people in or near our service areas diagnosed with COVID-19, the illness caused by the novel coronavirus, we’re working closely with local, state and federal health partners to keep you informed. We’re here to help you and your employees understand the guidance that public health officials are providing, and to answer all questions about your plan’s coverage during this ongoing situation.

Coverage

For questions about coverage, visit our webpage. Our FAQs provide answers about coverage for COVID-19 testing, treatment and services. We also provide specifics about medication refills and setting up mail-order delivery of your medications.

Telehealth, Virtual Visits and our Anytime Nurse Line

Most of our plans provide benefits for telehealth and/or virtual doctor visits. Virtual visits are a great way to avoid unnecessary travel to a doctor’s office and are in line with the practice of social distancing. Your plan may offer a Virtual Visit with a doctor through your Hally™ mobile app or YourHealthAlliance.org account. Member cost sharing may apply. Additionally, your plan may also offer the services of our Anytime Nurse Line at (855) 802-4612 at no cost to you. Certain self-funded employer group plans may offer alternative platforms for virtual doctor visits and telephone help lines. As always, please visit a hospital emergency department for all serious conditions and call 911 for all emergencies.

Information about the novel coronavirus and COVID-19

Our webpage also answers your questions about the virus and how it spreads, along with details about COVID-19 symptoms, prevention and treatment. We point you and your employees to the most up-to-date websites from federal and state public health officials.

Walk-in servicing suspended at Health Alliance and Health Alliance Northwest offices

The safety of everyone in the communities we serve is our top priority. Following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we are closing our offices for walk-in servicing until further notice. Otherwise, we are continuing business as usual, and we are available as always to answer your phone calls and emails. Thank you for your understanding.

Cybersecurity

And finally, a more general note. Please be aware that scammers and cybercriminals are taking advantage of the panic caused by COVID-19. Federal officials have warned of websites that have been set up, and emails that have been sent out, asking for personal information and/or containing malware that can harm your computer. Please remind your employees to only visit reputable websites (for example, of the CDC and other public health agencies) and to be wary of emails that contain suspicious links and attachments.

We know that this is a unique, and perhaps challenging, time for you and your employees. As always, if you have any questions for us, please call Client Support at 217-902-8151 or email ClientSupport@healthalliance.org.

We are here to help keep you and your employees healthy.

Sincerely,

Health Alliance and Health Alliance Northwest
